With Direct3D9 enabled, Sub-applications and Edit Boxes are invisible!

Has anyone run into this problem? With Direct3D9 enabled in my game, the sub-application and edit box extensions are invisible. MMF2 will confirm that they're visible if asked (e.g. "play a sound when ____ is visible"), and I can hear the sfx from the sub-application if i move the mouse around in it, but it's definitely not showing up. It's like a ghost...it's there, but you can't see it.

If I have the application in Standard mode, however, it shows up fine.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm completely confused...

Have you tried ticking the display as sprite option? It sounds like anything that creates its own window is not being drawn o_o I don't believe this has ever happened to anyone before...

    That worked!
Found this in the help file....duh!!!!

"Important : in Direct3D full screen mode (when you select the Change resolution mode option, or when you use the Set Full Screen mode action), windowed objects like buttons, edit boxes, list boxes, or sub-applications are not displayed. You can use Active System Box objects instead of buttons, and the sub-application object contains a new "Display as sprite" option that allows it to work in full screen mode (with limitations)."

Still kind of disappointing...I wonder why those extensions don't just work normally, and why work-arounds had to be implemented...

Ugh, unfortunately, though, with the "Display as Sprite" option checked, the pop-up window and Modal options become greyed, so I can't use the sub-application as a pause menu. Oh well, there are ways around that. Long, tedious, back-tracking ways.
