A quick summary, I've been working on a web tool for quite a while which will make extension development with EDIF a lot more intuitive and fun.
When using EDIF, unlike rSDK or the actual SDK, you must include an external JSON file to link to your object's A/C/E's and label them for the user. It also will define display names for parameters etc. The first of the utilities, the JSON Generator, takes your Extension.h and Extension.cpp files and turns it into a JSON based on the names of your functions and their parameters and return types. You can also use an AS3 file as well, which is extremely helpful if you're making a Flash-only extension.
You can also start from scratch and build the JSON before you make any code. Then, take that JSON and run it through the JSON to Exporter Template converter and turn it into the skeleton of a Flash extension.
I hope that you find these tools useful. I'm not sure whether there's a large enough interest to push them forward so if you could comment with feedback that'd be great. Also, I don't make a whole lot of extensions, so those of you that do, be sure to tell me what I can do to make the tool better or if there's any bugs that need fixing. I've already fixed loads of bugs thanks to LB.
