Question XNA Exporter / Xbox 360 Resolution

    Hey folks,

I would have posted this in the XNA Exporter forum but I guess we won't have one until it's released. Fortunately, my question is not really about the exporter (which I'm really looking forward to) but more about the Xbox 360.

My question is this: What is the resolution of the Xbox 360?

Why I ask: I'd like to make a pixel game for the Xbox 360 and want to either double or triple the size of the pixels. A few (old) screenshots of the game look like this:

I'd like to use whatever native resolution the Xbox 360 uses so that the pixels aren't stretched in anyway. Can anyone help me with this question? Thanks!!

    I'm pretty sure it's 720p.

Might be a different story with xbox live arcade games. Might warrant a tad more research, but 720p makes sense to me.

On an xbox 360 a user can go to System Settings > Console > Display > HDTV and adjust the screen resolution. The default resolution is probably just the highest resolution possible but it might also vary depending on what type of cable they're using (I'm not entirely sure).

I just took a look at my 360 (which uses HDMI) and it's set at 1080p. Other options include 480p, 720p, and a bunch of weird display sizes which probably aren't used almost ever (like 1650 x 1050). My friend, who uses Component cables, had his set at 720p as I recall.

Idk, I would probably stick with 720p even though in my case it seems like 1080p is the default.
