    MMF2 glitch

Occasionally, when I use MMF2, a glitch starts to occur over the course of a few weeks, which eventually goes away on its own. For instance, once the colors in the active editor's color palette were replaced almost entirely with black, and after a while it went back to normal. I'm having a problem now where all of my MMF2 files refuse to accept any input from any letter keys on the keyboard. It will accept spacebar input, arrow key input, etc but will not accept any input from the w key, a key, s key and so on. Two of the games I'm working on are heavily reliant on such keys, so I'm wondering if there's a way I can figure out what's wrong. I know it's not an issue with my computer, because these problems have happened on several computers, and it's not my events because everything works fine when I switch these keys with the spacebar, arrow keys, and so on. Has anyone else been having problems like these, and what should I do about it?

What build are you using? You've tried other computers? I know it seems silly, but are you using the Keyboard object's "On Key Pressed" event?

I haven't heard any problems like this. Different keyboards don't work? Do you have an isolated example file? Does it work in runtime but not in the test runtime? Or neither?

Sounds like a computer error, especially if it's happening in old files that used to work.

What build of MMF2 are you on?

It's build R253. This computer has had no problems with MMF2 before, so if there is a computer error, it only occurred recently. I don't think it has anything to do with the MFA file, either- I've tried opening games I've made a long time ago in MMF2 now, and they don't work anymore. Their standalone EXEs and SWFs still work, though.

Huh... that actually worked. Thanks! Isn't MMF2 supposed to update automatically, though?

It should prompt you once in a while. You may have had a bad version of 253, as there were a bunch of betas.
