Exclamation MMF 2 reported as threat by Avast

    Hi,
I am getting a warning message by Avast when I try to open MMF 2 (see attached picture).
Of course this is a false warning ...
Anyway, I just wanted to report this. The problem is that I do not have the option to report the mistake ...
I will try sending an email instead!

Hopefully they fix their broken Anti-virus quickly.
Can you update this thread when they reply?

If you don't hear from them in a day let us know so we can also email them.

I've never had MMF2 detected by avast! and I've been using both for years and the versions of both are up to date. That's weird.

[I've never had MMF2 detected by avast!]
It is not reported as a virus. It is suggested to open in a sandbox! Have you disabled Autosandbox function?

I have just received their answer:

    Dear Christos,
I would recommend to exclude this file from being run in autosandbox. To do this just follow steps below:

    1) Run avast!
    2) Select Resident shields and click on File system shield in the Resident shield sub-menu
    3) Click the "Expert Settings" and then in the left menu choose "Autosandbox"
    4) Click in the empty line, select the "Browse" button and browse for file to exclude

You can also completely disable the sandbox feature there. Just untick "Enable Autosandbox"

If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to contact me again.
    Best Regards

I know how to do this and it really was not a problem for me , but the problem is that if someone tries MMF for the first time and Avast reports a "potentially unsafe" program ...
I think that someone from Clickteam should contact them!

    Exclamation This is getting worse!

I am afraid that all the applications (exe files) that I have made since March 2011 (it probably goes even more backwards) are reported as potential threats by Avast and are suggested to open in sandbox mode!
I have sent a second email and I have received no answer so far. I intend to keep on sending emails as long as this thing happens but I should not be the only one!

Please send your messages to Avast in order to stop this!

Sorry for bringing this up again, but after a small while (a day or two) that the problem seemed to be solved, I am receiving the same messages again (suspicious application blah-blah ... open in a sandbox etc).
The real problem is that anyone using Avast (with the autosandbox function ON) will receive the same messages for MMF 2 and for any application made with Multimedia Fusion. This is getting really annoying!
I had the same problems with older applcations made with MMF1.5 that were never solved ... They are still reported as viruses because they include Randompool.cox!

Today I received a reply from Avast (they do not seem to realize what is going on):

    Hello,

More secure auto sand box is new improved feature in avast. If you don't like this feature you may turn of it or uninstall.

    Best regards,

Hmm. Well I can't speak for the actual MMF2.exe showing up as a threat, but I do know that some extensions trigger AV warnings. I know kcmouse frequently shows up.

Nope. I rely on sandbox mode for running more questionable EXEs.

Any news? My Avast has those security warnings when opening any MMF2 exe, too. I would like to add a program made with MMF2 to a letter of application and it's not that professional if I have to tell a company that my program may be detected as a trojan by some antivirus programs.
