    Glowing light effect?

Say you wanted an explosion in a game, and you wanted to create a bright light around it that lit up it's surroundings, how would you do this in MMF2? If you don't understand what I mean, look at the big explosions in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz5PLufLgmc

I guess you just have to make a picture of a glow of some sort, and add an effect to it, but I do not know how to make such a glow in for example photoshop, and I do not know which effect in MMF2 to use. Also, when I make pictures like that in photoshop, it has a tendency to become black or have weird ugly edges when I import it into MMF2, like it makes semi-transparancy into a colour or something.

    Any advice?

Yikes here's open source of that video. Hard to understand,.but you can tweak it for your needs!! Make sure when you use this and if you set up a new game using it, you run it in Dirext3D-9

Ah, I must have had an older version of that example then, since mine didn't have the glow and such. Like always, thanks Shanman
