Thumbs down Change animation speed problem

I can't seem to change the animation speed (via an Action) for anything but the "Stopped" animation sequence. I've tested this on a new active object with no special properties (i.e.: no movement) and animation frames in the Stopped and Walking or Running and custom animation sequences.

If I change the animation sequence to walking and then set the animation speed via actions, the animation speed does not change, it always plays back at a set speed. If I change the animation sequence to Stopped, it obeys the animation speed values I give it and will speed up or slow down via my actions.

Think must be a bug? Anyone else noticed this?

I did a simple test where I had the 'Walking' animation speed of an object increase every 10th of a second and it worked fine. I'm using Build 251 though. What build are you using?

The change speed if I remember correctly, works in the boundaries of the speeds you have set in the animation editor. Minimal speed to maximal speed. So if you want the action to have effect you have to set differents speed for these two properties.

    Post Example file

Here's an example file where the animation speed for the top active object is fixed and won't change. The bottom active object's animation speed does change, this is using the Stopped animation category and seems to be the only one that works for me.

    AnimationSpeed.mfa

Press 1 and 2 to change the speed.

Hate to re-awaken an old thread, but I had the same problem and I saw that this thread hadn't gotten an answer yet. For the record, I fixed the problem by just setting the minimum speed to the same as the maximum speed of the animation. Otherwise, the animation just wouldn't react to the action telling it to change speed. I guess the reason this doesn't happen with the stopped animation, is because it doesn't have a max and minimum speed (for some reason).
