    [Beta] Tile Platform Engine

    I just made an object for tile-based platform games that can contain multiple bodies, all using rectangular collisions. It's really fast and should clean up a lot of messes in platform games that don't require the accuracy of MMF2's precise collisions with PMO, or games that have a lot of enemies that would have required multiple PMO objects. All of it is handled within one of this object.

    Check out the example

    I just made this tonight, so if you have any ideas, I'll try to put them in.

    Good news: Eliyahu forgot he finished this because he had amnesia, so he finally found out it was finished and he's going to post a new version below.

    Yes, that's actually my next step. I'm also determining how to handle projectiles, because it'd be useful to have projectiles done in here as well, but then I'd need collisions in as well.
    I won't forget about it this time

    this is really nice. well done

    I have a couple of questions regarding the Id's;
    how many Id's can the tile extension control?
    if an object assigned an Id is destroyed, is that Id free'd up and assigned as next available?

    It can handle loads of IDs. I've had it working with thousands.
    A few things to note about how I have IDs running:

    If you try to create a body with an existing ID, it simply won't create a new one.
    When you delete an ID, that ID is freed up, and other IDs are untouched. So if you have 1,2,3,4,5, then you delete 3, you are left with 1,2,4,5. And it will tell you the next available is 3.
    Next Available ID is essentially the lowest ID that is not in use.

    This is very nice!

    Would it be possible to add more obstacletypes, like ladders, trampolines, moveing platforms? And let a body be able to climb, bounce automatically when touching them etc?
    I guess this is something the user can easily program himself, but if it is feasible, it would be very neat to have it in the extenstion
