    Box2d

I have created a top down driving movement engine from scratch.

Would it be possible to use my engine for movement and use the Box2d extension to handle collisions?

eg. pushing other cars around, smashing into and bouncing off buildings, etc?

Yes, one of the last options in the example file shows exactly this.

Do you mean the "Car Test" example?

This uses the Box2D object to move the car. I want to use it only for collisions and bumping objects around.

Sorry, I misread. You would have to redesign your engine to use Box2D - it is not possible to make it work with any existing engines.

Thank you LB. That's what I wanted to know

This morning, I actually did get it working using both my engine for movement and box2d for collisions. When the player collided with another object, it would disable my movement code and switch control over to box2d and then back.

It works, but it I don't like it and I can see it being a problem down the track.
