Yeah, they're hilarious vegetables. Christian veggies too.
I just want to give a heads-up to the Convention planners regarding two aspects of this years convention...
1. With the Olympics on the UK this year, many businesses are using it as a cash-cow and prices in the UK have sky rocketed!! I've seen accommondation prices TRIPLE!! And I have no doubt transport, food and other prices will receive some padding.
2. For anyone in the Euro zone who will be attending CC 2012, the exchange rate between the euro and pound is at a horrific level! €1.00 now only gets you 79p!!
Going to the UK this year could be a VERY costly venture!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it's now very unlikely CC2012 will be going ahead. I'll make a full announcement in a few days but Paul pretty much put his finger on it there - the Olympics! General costs, availability of flights and accommodation and the prospect of travel chaos around the UK (in particular all of the major airports which people will have to use) here have all played a factor - basically it is just too much of a clash this year. So, CC2013 will be the next convention on the cards.
Obviously that is a long time to wait so we're going to organise something different and new for 2012 and hopefully onwards into the future to run in addition to the regular conventions. More details to follow next week!

:< nooooo!
I propose CT make/find a video conferencing software and use that for CC12![]()
Phi, that is a good idea! I second that! That way, everyone, from anywhere, even if they usually couldn't attend, could participate.
Wait and see what we announce in the next week is all I'll say in response to the last two![]()
But the main power of con is meeting people :<
I couldn't agree more Tomasz. As I said, wait for the announcement![]()
