    Decimal point on counters problem

I reported this over a year ago, still hasn't been fixed. Hopefully this speaks volumes about how ineffective bug reporting is at the moment.

This is a significant problem if you're trying to use leading zeros counters in a flash game, ie Score = 00000642
When the score = 0 your counter will look like this 00000000.

The decimal point cannot be hidden, and can only be worked around by replacing the decimal image with an invisible alpha channel image 1x1 pixel, but it still pushes the rest of your digits one pixel the left.

    Bug Report:
    Discrepancy between flash and non-flash

    When a Counter object = 0
And settings are defined as follows
    - Fixed number of digits = 2
    - Number of significant digits = 2
    - Number of digits after decimal point = 0
    - Add 0's to the left = checked
    - Display Type = Numbers

    Flash Counter shows
    00.

    Non flash counter shows
    00

IMO decimal point should NOT show

I just tried what you described, setting a counter with all the properties you state.
The decimal point is never shown.
Can you send me an example MFA that shows the problem?

    Add the line

    - always set counter to counter *1.0

this will convert it to a floating point, however our options still suggest a decimal point should never show

    Therein lies the flash bug.

I attached an example that does just as I described.

My reasons for using floating points when no decimal needs to be shown is when I'm using a score bonus multiplier. ie: 1.5... I don't want the half a point to be lost in this situation.

I suppose a work around is to always output the score as int(score), however its still odd that theres a discrepancy between flash and non flash.
