    Ripple effects?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a way to do a simple ripple effect on a sprite, not as an animation sequence but using parallax techniques.

the kind of effect im after looks like waves over an image, it's often used in demos on the amiga.

if anyone has any suggestions on how to produce this effect that would be much appreciated,
    thanks.

Do you have an example of this that can be seen in another game? I'm thinking a shader will do the trick,.but I would like to see it first.

Oh,.that seems like it's hard to do. Sorry I can't help you with this as I have no clue how it's done. I'm sure someone will chime in here that knows. I wonder if there's an extension for this effect!?

The Perspective Object can do this - Otherwise, you would have to use HWA with an appropriate shader (there are a couple of them, try Sphax's shader pack for example).

thanks! It can be done with the Perspective Object by modifying the sine offset.

I would also be interested in this! Is there any example and is this supported for SWF?
