    How can I make a free version that upgrads after a purchase?

    Anyone know what I'd need to do to make a free game that allows the user to make a purchase to unlock the rest of the game?

    I would do it with an IAP (In-App Purchase) product. For more info about it, check the Help file for the iOS Store object.

    I've done this. My game is free and has ads, but you can unlock the later part of the game and remove ads by utilizing an in-app purchase. Look around at some of the forum topics for IAP and they should lead you in the right direction. Also, BE SURE to read the help file in MMF2 for the Store object, as there are certain things you'll need to set up correctly.

    You could make a demo set of frames, which finished with an In-App-Purchase (IAP). The IAP could run an event that unlocks extra frames for the "full game."

    Yeah... I would highly recommend making two versions. A lite and the full game. That way this problem fixes itself, as you simply charge for the full app.

    I was thinking along the same lines, verbage... but thanks everyone for the info. I'm sure I'll need it for future games.
