    Extensions

I'm new & I'm not sure if this is supposed to go in this area. However, I would like to know what are extensions? And what can we do with them? And how do you load or use them? Keep in mind I'm new to using MMF2 only used the demo version, but I'm about to purchase the full version.

Extensions are objects that extend the functionality of MMF2. Most of them come inside an installer or in a zip that can be extracted to your root MMF2 directory, and then loaded into MMF2.

Extension View is a good program to use to find them.
You can also download Bonus Packs on the sidebar --> from the main forum index.

    Welcome to the community.

So for the most part I would only be able to get extensions from certain games I load from other people? Or does the community have a website where you can download various extensions to help with game development?

Also, you know the Create Object screen which lets you create a new Active Object, Button, Text Box or other object? Well MMF comes with the pre-installed ones already, but with each extension you install, you basically see more objects in the list, with their own icons. So there's the Battery Object for detecting the battery levels on Windows laptops, and lots of other ones that offer varying degrees of usefulness, from absolutely indispensable (we don't know HOW we lived without them) and others which have very specific jobs and are only any use to a small number of users.

Extension View is a great app, and should help you in getting the objects you need. However it can be a little overwhelming the sheer choice of objects, often with quite non descriptive names. But if you're unsure, just ask. And welcome, by the way

    You download them separately.

    The Simplest Way:

Get Extension View (a desktop program) which lists all available extensions, downloads and installs them. You can download it below.
