Best way to save data I need to sort multiple ways?

    Looking for some suggestions-

    I have 1000 items
9 things associated with each one

and I want to be able to view them/sort them by a few different ways

What's the best way to handle this?

    For example:

    *Bean Inventory*

    Name of bean:
    Color of bean:
Where it is in the Garden:
    size:
    etc...

Lets say I want to see all the beans that are RED, or are in a certain place in the garden...

Using MMF2 Dev, what's the approach you would take?

    Thanks in advance!

Store all the Item data in an Array

To filter out or display Items meeting specific criteria, use a Fast Loop to search through the array

    ...
Its hard to be more specific without knowing more about your game and how it works.
Are the Items placed in a grid?
    A screenshot maybe?

It's not a "game", I have someone who has a buncha data, and needs a way to sort through it. I wanted to use MMF rather than Access or iWorks...

If its only data like text and/ or numbers, an Array is definitly what you would like to use.

There are a number of different Array Objects, but the standardArray Object should be fine and be the most compatible ( cross platform ).

Deppending on where the original data bunce is stored, it could also be possible for MMF to automatically read and organize the data instead of re-creating it ( if its a really big data bunch ).
