Hey looki, do you know how the performance of this holds up in HWA compared to a text blitter being used as a tilemap?
In Asunder I've found that the main bottleneck in FPS delay is in my text blitters, which drop me from about 120 FPS to 60 FPS, tolerable since it runs at 60 FPS, but the reason when it dips
Would it be worth looking into reprogramming substantial parts of my code to use the tilemap object, or would its performance be no better? Its a huuuuge effort to rewrite this, could take me a week
I'll try to test it myself and post my results if I can come up with anything substantial.
/e ah I must have missed your post back in october, its hwa optimized now? I'm going to have to test it heavily! Hope this makes my project all smooth and silky
/e doesn't look like it runs very fast when you turn transparency on :S
