The lovely LB was able to track this issue down. Apparently my Visual Studio was LYING TO ME about some compilation settings. I do not know how this could possibly ever happen and I don't want this to happen to ANYONE. The amount of rage I felt when my extension was completely broken for seemingly no reason was too damn high... but thanks to LB we were able to sort this out and you may download the new version here. http://clickteam.info/looki/Extensions/Beta/TileMap.zip

    New version:

    * I believe there was something wrong with the code in HWA which made performance worse. This is now fixed, although there still seems to be a problem for one user...
    * Tile size is now per-layer. The whole 'Map' sub-menu, property group and file block was removed since it only contained tile size.
    * You can now specify a "collision margin" in the Viewport, which allows you to add extra room around the viewport rectangle in which to handle collisions (Without having to completely enable collisions outside of the viewport).
    * The menu in Tile Map was rearranged and improved quite a bit. It's now more obvious to new users and has "categories".

I'm really looking forward to reworking my project to use this Looki! I'm just a little concerned, since its an absolutely huge undertaking to recode, do you have the data structures and interface mostly finalized yet or do you plan on tweaking it some more? I wouldn't want to go through all that work and have to recode it later, but theres no loss to me to rewrite this either tomorrow, or in 6 months from now, so no rush. I've been using array objects to save the data for a level editor displayed by text blitters, and there isn't any direct way to port those structures over is there, like saving to CSV or something? Don't bother with it if there isn't, I can whip up a program to do it as easily as anyone, just not sure if you plan any substantial changes between now and release.

    Hi,

I don't plan to break compatibility at all. I'm already supporting three different versions of my file format (of course it always saves in the latest format, but it still supports loading old files just in case).

About the CSV thing: The file format is very simple for a binary format and import/export from/to Surface is possible. I've thought about adding a human-readable format, actually. I kinda like the idea of being able to write and edit map files inside of MMF's text editor or well, any text editor.

I think I heard rumors about someone going to port this to other runtimes?
