The "Resize display" option now works in HWA!

From what I remember RootKernel and Pharanygitis reported this issue. Thanks to the great Yves it is now fixed. Enjoy! Same link as above.

    Hi Backstaged

I'm not the author of this extension, nor affiliated with it

Hehe. RootKernel wrote the Tiled map loader extension! But thanks nonetheless!

Hopefully, within the next 1-2 weeks, I will release a version containing ways to store additional data for each tile in a layer.

You will be able to choose the data format (Right now I'm thinking byte, 32-bit int and float) and operate on it with tile cursors and whatnot.
Essentially, each layer will have an array of "data layers" to work with. By default, a layer doesn't use any of them. If you still don't understand: Imagine that every layer is essentially another map that has its very own layers. They're all the same size (the size of the "real" layer) but they don't store tileset info, they store generic data.
Not only will this be useful because it lets you store important information in a Tile Map file instead of separate ones (there will also be a simple mechanic to store per-map and per-layer string data, I think!), but you will be able to give each of the "data layers" a specific purpose. For example, a cell in the data layer may store a tileset index, so you can use multiple tilesets per layer without having to enable render callbacks, which tend to be slow. You'll pretty much be able to link every callback feature to a data layer, including color tint, opacity, scale, rotation, offset. There will probably also be something to finetune collisions on a per-tile basis, but most importantly, an animation mechanism.
By specifying an animation index (1-255, 0 is off) the tile will automatically be animated depending on the specified index. The index refers to the entry in the global animation table of the Tile Map which you will of course be able to create yourself. Each of the 255 animations will have many settings like the number of tiles to the right/bottom to use for the animation, in what order to play the frames, whether to loop the animation or play it ping-pong style, the relative speed, etc.
The Viewport object will let you control the global animation speed at runtime.

Anyway, I've yet to find a proper name for this concept. Essentially each tile can hold arbitrary information, but yet, you will be able to assign a hardcoded purpose to each of the "data layers". I really can't find a good name for this concept. Imagine you want to add one of these "data layers" to your current real layer, what would you except the action to be called? I'm clueless.
If you have any suggestions for a proper name, PLEASE do not hesitate to suggest them.

Ok.. Ok, my mistakes then. (I tought...)

Well, so, Looki what do you think about: Event Layers
I think Layers for.. layers, and Event for be able to Script/Control/Hardcoding by making some events.

Looki, does this mean I'll be able to load tiles into multiple MMF layers more easily, or does this next update has nothing to do with that? Currently I'm using two objects, one for foreground tiles, and one for background tiles.

That has nothing to do with it.

Backstaged, thanks but I don't think event is a good idea. Events are bound to a certain point in time, unlike the data.

    Yeah ok Looki..
Hmm.. What do you think then:

    - Unbound Event
    - Dynamic Event
    - DatEvent
    ...
I try to help xD !
