LOL that's not exactly good. The funny thing is, there were people with desktop PCs that also got 9.

BTW, that stress demo actually used 5 layers I had a stupid error in my code, the very last background layer is there twice. So yeah, if I removed it, you'd probably get a *few* more FPS.

Small update with a cool feature: Collisions in Flash. Also, a new checkbox in the properties of the Viewport - you can turn off pixel-based collisions if your game doesn't need them.

I posted about Tile Map in the Flash forum. Also, there's a cool Flash demo rendering a Knytt Stories level:

    Is the extension ready?

I have a question about the extension otherwise sorry for the bump: Will it be able to do line scrolling and tile scrolling like the sega genesis VDP can do, if yes then it will save a ton of RAM by reducing the number of layers that one would need to achieve such a result as a paralaxing effect like that in sonic2's emerald hill zone. The only thing I haven't yet seen here was rasterized layer deformation, so there, I asked about it.

Line scroll mode means scroll a 1 pixel wide vertical or horizontal line of pixels indepentantly of the layer even though it is part of the layer.
Tile scroll mode is the same except it is a group of tiles instead of pixels.

this would likely be used by the tile map viewport object if you added it.

    Hi,

There's a render callback feature that allows you to offset every tile individually right before it's drawn. About the Genesis effect: I'll think about it. I would have to make some changes in the code, it's not a top priority of mine right now, although I'll give it a shot when I feel like it. It is a pretty cool feature I must say.
