    Toggle MMF application to launch on startup

    I've been searching the forums for how to launch an application on startup. It seems the only solution is to set it with the installer. I don't like the idea of forcing this upon my users, most will probably decide if they like the program before wanting it starting every time they use windows.

    Is there any way to toggle whether an application launches on startup within the application itself? I'm considering copying a shortcut to the startup folder, but I fear moving files around could flag some virus scanners, expecially if I start deleting files from there when the user toggles it off.

    Any thoughts/ideas?

    Basically what you have to do is register the application using reg key features

    Any program listed in the registry under
    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Run"
    will run automatically when windows starts.

    But if you want only the application for the actual user, do;
    "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cu rrentVersion\Run"

    in this location add a string register with the name of the program as the key and the full path as the value.

    in standar you may use registry2 in developer registry++

    It is usually safer and simpler to place a shortcut in the Startup folder, because it doesn't scare antivirus programs and it doesn't require higher level permissions for the user.
    Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
