    Thumbs down Lacewing and Flash

I'd like to raise some questions about the compatiblity of the Lacewing extension and Flash.

Even within the same conditions, lacewing works kinda weird on flash... Sometimes it doesn't receive text or number messages sent from server.

I have to connect and disconnect 5 times from server so the player can receive a text message in flash... Feels buggy.. The same thing does not happen with windows applications.

I found only a few threads on the forum with this subject, and I would like to ask if there's some uncompatibility of lacewing and flash. Or maybe some functions that flash doesn't support from lacewing yet.

    Thanks in advance

I haven't used Lacewing and flash before but I'd like to in the future, so I'm also interested in any information about this. If it's dropping messages, that can't be a good thing!

I haven't had issues like these, and my current project is a Flash+Lacewing game. I primarily use Binary messages though. What server are you using/running?

Adobe Flash haven't added UDP (Blast). They have a form of it, but it's not directly compatible.
It seems unlikely that a message would be dropped, but if it is happening it'll be client-side just not sending them. A lot of people worked to make sure TCP (Send) messages would be received properly no matter what.

Well, my client simply cannot receive some String or Number messages from server.

I'm using pylacewing, and I have a fully-coded server in python. I'm using listenTCP() to start Server. and sendMessage(message, subchannel) for sending messages to client. How do I know if it's sending through TCP or UDP?

    Client-side goes like This:
    Code:
    >> Lacewing: On Connect
      - Send text 'something' to server on subchannel X
(Server always receive the message succesfully, I checked)

    Server does:

    Code:
    client.sendMessage("something",subchannelX )
    Client:
    Code:
    >> Lacewing: On text message received from server on subchannel X
      - Do something
The last event above is never triggered in the flash, only when I run the project within mmf2 or if I build an exe file, not in an exported swf.
