    Platform Movement Object - Use a Ladder

    Hi there.
    In my new game I'm using the Platform Movement Object.
    I would use a ladder to get the upper floor.
    I used a backdrop object with Obstacle Type: LADDER, but it doesn't works.
    please, anyone can help me?

    This is because the PMO doesn't do things automatically, you have to program it to do things. Anyway, if you must use ladder background objects, test for them using the condition storyboard controls > collision mask > is ladder
    But it's better to use active objects for ladders.

    Yeah I suppose you could. Just on a side related note, in my Mega Man fan game I made the platform movement object detect ladder backdrop objects and respond accordingly.

    I didn't use active objects to do ladders in my Mega Man game, if that's what you're asking. You can do it perfectly fine with active objects, but I preferred to use backdrop objects for ladders. Would you like me to make an example file on how to use ladder obstacles with the PMO?
