Saving and loading multiple frames

I am making a Five Nights At Freddy's fan game and I having a problem with the saving and loading in my game, I tried using the INI object but that doesnt work for some odd reason. I cant understand how to use the Array object so basically I am stuck. I am also using Multimedia Fusion 2.
Basically I want to create something where when I click "new game" it then saves the game but then when you click "continue" it loads that frame that you were just into. If you have played Five Nights At Freddy's then you will probably know what I am talking about.

You could do what I do:

Each frame you're on change a global value to the actual frame # using the 'Start of Frame' command (ex. you're on the fifth frame then CURR_FRAME = 5.) Then when you save your game (or whatever) to your ini file you'd save that value.

And then when you go to load up your game you'd use that same value from your ini file, assign it to your CURR_FRAME global value, and do 'Jump to Frame' (using calculation / CURR_FRAME) and you'd shoot right to the frame you last left off on.

Could you give me an example to what you are talking about with an .mfa example please? Or if there is a video on what you are talking about then please do link me to that. Could you provide a link and an example please? If you cant find a video then just the example please, thank you!

I also will need a example on how to do that using Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Standard, please so if you could send me a .mfa file on how to do that it would be awesome...
Does CURR_FRAME need to be the frame number or the name of the frame or doesn’t it matter whether or not it’s the number or name of the frame?

How do i check if a .ini file exists before creating one and setting a value?
