    Create that rectangle...

I am at a complete loss. I have tried every trick in the book that I know.

Basically I want the user to be able to 'Click' then Drag and it will create a 'real-time' bounding box. Something similar to how it works in a graphics software if you want to put a shape on the screen, you first drag the square out to all it's corners to see where you want it to go and when you release the mouse.... bam, rectangle created.

I have tried numerous methods that I know or thought would work to no avail.

I am interested in hearing others concepts...

I used a drag-to-create rectangle and circle polygon tool in this:

It also has a texturizer tool (or "paint polygon" tool) to add textures (the wooden crate). It's just a physics toy though.

Would this be the same as drag box in a RTS?

CB perfect that... is there a way to fill the square center with a semi-transparent window? I am assuming set position then resizing an active the same as the box spec should do it?

Yeah that would work. CB already has a box like that in his example though actually. It's the black looking 'Square' active object to the far right in the events editor. You just need to change a few things for it to show up properly.
