Hi all!
I'm very happy to be part of HTML5 runtime beta testing!

I made my very first test: the classic simple application of a single Active object, with bouncing ball movement inside a frame, bouncing against the edges of the frame. It works perfectly!
Like someone else reported, the application doesn't work in outside a webserver, so I'm using xampp.

BUG: In the application properties, the Build Filename property doesn't work: if you click the "..." button, to browse for a filename, nothing happens. Even after I've built the application, using File->Build->Application, and chosen the project path and name, this property in the application properties is empty.

BUG: When global events are not completely empty (also if there is just a comment), the event "Mouse click on an object" doesn't work. Also, event "Mouse pointer is over an object" doesn't work correctly.
I've tested this on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, with the following browsers:
-Firefox 13
-IE 9 (64 bit)
-IE 9 (32 bit)
-Google Chrome 20
-Maxthon 3

The behaviour is identical in all these browsers.

Attached an mfa showing this bug.

BUG: If there is a group of events not activated at the beginning, that contains a subgroup of events activated from the beginning, in C++ runtime the subgroup is simply deactivated until the parent group is activated.
In HTML5 runtime, the frame is not loaded (you can't see any object on the HTML canvas) and there is an error in the console of the browser. I've tested it in the following browser, with the same behaviour:

-Firefox 13 -> console text: "[15:26:25.197] ReferenceError: inactiveGroup is not defined @ http://localhost:21700/src/Events.js:2531"

-Chrome 20 -> console text: "Uncaught ReferenceError: inactiveGroup is not defined, Events.js:2531"

-IE 9 -> console text: "SCRIPT5009: 'inactiveGroup' is not defined
Events.js, Row 2531 Character 21"

-Maxthon 3 -> console text: "Uncaught ReferenceError: inactiveGroup is not defined, Events.js:2531"

Attached an mfa showing this bug.

If you build a completely empty MMF app in HTML5:
-Firefox 13 -> You get a warning: "[08:35:28.416] An unbalanced tree was written using document.write() causing data from the network to be reparsed. For more information https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Opt...lative_Parsing @ http://localhost:21700/Empty.html:21"
-IE9 -> No warnings, everything is fine!
-Chrome 20 -> Error: "Viewport argument value "device-width;" for key "width" not recognized. Content ignored.Empty.html:9"
-Maxthon 3 -> Same as Chrome (it uses WebKit like Chrome, but I test also with this browser because I think it's a modified version; infact on html5test.com it has a better score than Chrome).

The "no click" with global events problem was corrected yesterday. GLobal events made the list of objects with a collision mask reset.

Score and Counter objects bugs

BUG: Both the Score and the Counter objects, don't implement the property "Fixed number of digits". If, for example, this property is set to 3, in HTML5 runtime the Score and the Counter objects show only the necessary number of digits to represent the current value, like if the "Fixed number of digits" property is not set.

Also, the Score object formatting is incorrect: it appears more on the right than it should, while the Counter object does not have this problem. When the frame restarts, the Score object formatting is correct, like the Counter object.
Refreshing the HTML page (so restarting the application), this bug happens again like before.

The behaviour is the same on these browsers of Windows 7:
-Firefox 13
-IE9
-Chrome 20
-Maxthon 3

Same behaviour also with Safari on iPad with iOS5, but I haven't tested the "Restart the current frame" action on iPad.

View HTML5 in action.
View Flash version, that works correctly.

Attached the mfa showing the bug.

Button disabled at start property ignored

BUG: The property of the Button object "Disabled at start", in HTML5 runtime is ignored, and the button is clickable. I've tested this in these browsers on Windows 7:
-Firefox 13
-IE9
-Chrome 20
-Maxthon 3
the behaviour is the same. In Firefox I also get these warnings at the console:

[16:28:11.190] An unbalanced tree was written using document.write() causing data from the network to be reparsed. For more information https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Opt...lative_Parsing @ http://localhost:21700/ButtonDisabledBug.html:59

HTML5 Sound Test

I made a simple application to help testing the differences of HTML5 sounds management in different browsers. I'm using BETA 3 of the exporter.
At the moment it allows to play once or loop an MP3 or a WAV. I had put also the possibility to play an OGG, but I've seen that MMF2 when builds the HTML5 project automatically converts OGG files to WAV.
You can see it here.

Here are the results of my test in different browsers:
Firefox 13
As you already know, MP3 does not work. In particular, when the application loads, I get the warnings and errors in the Console:

[10:43:45.342] An unbalanced tree was written using document.write() causing data from the network to be reparsed. For more information https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Opt...lative_Parsing @ http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTe...ndTest.html:59
[10:43:45.343] The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must to be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol. @ http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTe...SoundTest.html
[10:43:45.457] Use of attributes' nodeName attribute is deprecated. Use name instead. @ http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTe...SoundTest.html
[10:43:45.457] Use of attributes' nodeValue attribute is deprecated. Use value instead. @ http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTe...SoundTest.html
[10:43:45.527] HTTP "Content-Type" of "audio/mpeg" is not supported. Load of media resource http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTest/0000.mp3 failed. @ http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTe...SoundTest.html

When I click the button "Play MP3 once", I also get this error:

[10:45:06.381] InvalidStateError: An attempt was made to use an object that is not, or is no longer, usable @ http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTe.../Banks.js:1313

When I click the button "Play and loop MP3" I get the same error.

WAV sounds work perfectly, also the loop sound. But if I click the button "Play WAV once" or "Play and loop WAV" while the sound is already playing, it automatically stop the sound and play it from the beginning, and does not overlap with the previously started sound. In C++ runtime it behaves differently: sounds overlap.

Internet Explorer 9
As you already know, IE9 does not support WAV files.
When the application loads, there are no errors or warnings in the Console.
When I click the button "Play WAV once", I get this error in the Console:

SCRIPT5022: DOM Exception: INVALID_STATE_ERR (11)
Banks.js, Row 1313 Character 3

When I click the button "Play and loop WAV", I get the same error.

When I click the button "Play MP3 once", it plays correctly, and when I click the button "Play and loop MP3", it plays and loops it correctly.
But if I click the button "Play MP3 once" or "Play and loop MP3" while the sound is already playing, it automatically stop the sound and play it from the beginning, and does not overlap with the previously started sound. In C++ runtime it behaves differently: sounds overlap.

Chrome 20
When the application loads, I get these errors in the Console:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTest/src/inandout.js
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://fedeali.eu/html5/HTML5SoundTest/src/pinball.js

Both MP3 and WAV files play and loop correctly.

The strange thing is that, when I run the application in local, using the Build and Run function of MMF2, in Chrome the behaviour is different. First of all I don't get those errors in the Console when the application loads. Also, in local there is a bug that does not happen when I run the application from the web server where I uploaded it. In local, if you click the button "Play MP3 once", then you click the button "Stop all samples playing" before the sound finishes, when you click again the button "Play MP3 once", it does not start from the beginning, but it continues from where it was stopped.

Here you can download the mfa of the application, so you can also test it in local to see the differences in Google Chrome 20.

I've just tested the sound test app of the previous post with Safari on iPad with iOS5: the application loads correctly, but when I click any button to play or loop a WAV or MP3, no sounds play and I get this error in the Console:

JavaScript: Error
undefined
INVALID_STATE_ERR: DOM Exception 11: An attempt was made to use an object that is not, or is no longer, usable.
