Exclamation Mac executable doesn't run on my Mac

    Hi,

I have built a game as a Mac executable and transfered it to my mac via Dropbox. When I open it on my mac, it does nothing. If, however, I look inside the folder and execute de .jar file directly, it runs, but without any of my mp3 sounds playing (wav sounds play fine).

Am I missing something in the build and transfer process?

You should ZIP the application folder to transfert it to a Mac. Simply copying it make it loose the executable attributes. I remember we have problems like this.

I did what you said, Francois, and it works fine now. Still, the mp3 sounds don't play.. I guess mp3 is not supported in the build engine.
Also, I have some levels that just freeze the app or appear without the background object.
Is there a better way to make a mac compatible build with mmf2dev? I have alot of pressure from my clients to convert my still to mac, so I've started modifying my apps to use just the supported extensions, but now I'm having some random problems with the mac builds. Personally, I prefer running them all on PC as they were intended to do, but more and more schools are adopting the mac solutions for their classrooms.

Back the the main question: Is there an other build type I could use (aside from flash) that would be more stable on the mac?

    Thanks
    Tom

Java and Flash are the two types that work on a Mac.
You could try HTML5, it is in beta now, but we are OK for you to publish if your respect the rules.
Please send ma a PM with your real name and MMF serial number.
