No West coast?

Thanks for starting these mini-events. I think it's really cool. Unfortunately though I don't see a West coast one, but rather two East coast ones. Err.


Anyway, for the next time one of these is done, would it be possible to instead of having two events that are really far away from people on the West coast to having two events that are near each? One East coast one West coast? Thanks for your consideration and good luck with the events!

The events have been organised by volunteers, under Clickteam's guidance so it has come down to where people have been able to host them. We were and still are trying to get one going in California... but no guarantees this time around. This is obviously a new event and a big exercise getting it all organised in so many different places, hopefully when we hold the next one (early-ish in 2013) we will be able to get more locations sorted out

Jeff did contact some local indie gaming groups in the Portland area to see whether he could get one off the ground there but alas there were no takers, perhaps the idea needs a first run to gather a head of steam for the second try around.

If you're up for running one, let us know! We have a manual for organisers with guidance on what to do and so on.

Thanks for the info. I can fully appreciate how difficult it is to coordinate this type of thing, especially for it being new. I wish you good luck on it!

Re: Portland, I'm not surprised. People here seem to busy drinking and hanging out with their hipster friends rather than to get on to work, lol. I would be interested in running one, but I'm afraid my schedule is flat out booked (surgery, other real life stuff) to run something like this. Maybe next year though! That would be cool.
