    Red face About Launch Image in iOS application

    Hello again my friends, I want to know some things about the editable Launch Image in iOS application.

    - What is the time that this image is show in app run? around how many seconds?

    - I'm building a iOS application in Retina display 960x640 (landscape left), but when I go to edit the default mmf2 image it is in 640x960, so, I need to put my custom image rotated in 90░ too or I can just replace and put my image in normal (960x480)???

    When you first launch your app and it has to load into memory the launch image will display, depending on how much data has to load for the first frame of your game the image might show for half a second or 10 seconds, with simple games it's probably just best to leave it black instead of a detailed image which will only display for a moment.

    Not too sure about rotation of image, best thing to do is try it out I guess.

    Hum...I was thinking about put my logo in this launch image, but now I dont know if this is the best way because if my application load fast then nobody will see my logo.....

    Diablohead, if I'm not wrong, you already have app in appstore, right? so what you did in this image?

    I dont buy my mac mini yet, so I cant try this right now....

    I made the image black since my app loads fast.

    Then I fade from black to show my logo. Makes for a seamless experience.

    another idea (what I do for my apps) is to have the launch image the same as the first frame logo spash screen, even more seamless experience in my book

    I wanted to do that, but before the first frame starts there is a black flicker. It looks bad.
