Does anyone use MMF2 of MMFD to make Chinese language games or ebook apps?

If so can you advise if the IME extension is required? If you are using these products to make Chinese language ebook apps, can you please comment on whether or not you are linking timed audio files to your ebook pages? Any lessons learned from those working with Chinese language text within games or ebook apps would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello,

Are you looking to develop eBook type applications in MMF2? If so, is it Software eBooks you are looking to develop for use on Computers or hardware specific eBooks such as the Kindle?

    Chinese Ebooks & Games

If I understand your question correctly, I'm looking to produce hardware specific ebooks with embedded games for Ipad and possibly Android devices. Although Kindle is of interest, I see a greater market for Chinese language learning materials on Ipad at this time. What I am wondering is whether or not the unicode module is required when working with Chinese as a part of the game or ebook? Is it best to input the Chinese characters as images to avoid the end user needing to install or activate Chinese fonts on their device or to input as fonts via the unicode module?

If you do not plan or need to have the contents of the program to be translated for any reason by end users, then I would go with images.

Using images might make it easier for you to port and move it around to other devices without having to support each group of fonts and specific needs of each platform, and look how you intend it to for users.
