    Fit inside with borders
This is the default option and the only method that has been available so far in the iOS runtime.
You game area will be expanded to touch the inside of the screen edges (but that leaves borders on devices with different aspect ratios).

    Fit inside and adjust window
Same as above (scale up to touch the inside of the screen) but it will expand the visible area of your game. This requires that your level is large enough to display the new area.

    Fit outside
This will scale up the game to fill the entire screen cropping off the areas that goes outside the screen.

    Stretch
Ignores any aspect ratio and just stretches the contents to fill the display. Graphics can look squashed.

    Center
No zooming will occur regardless of the device. If you have an iPhone 3GS resolution app, it will look small on the iPad or iPhone with retina screens (centered in the screen).

    Expand/Adjust window size
No zooming will occur like in the 'center' option but this will expand the window size. The visible window size will be exactly the same as the device resolution:
On iPhone 3GS your level size must be at least 320x480 (in portrait mode)
On iPhone 4/4S it must be at least be 640x960
On iPad 1/2 it must be at least 768x1024
On iPad 3 it must be at least 2048x1536

You can resize your frame size at runtime at the start of the frame if needed.
I am drooling for the next beta right now, so awesome of you all.

Perfect, good work guys! With the iPhone 5 announcement we needed this more than ever!

Damn, ClickTeam, you guys are just awesome. I think the world of all of you!

An advantage we get here - we should all pre-order the iPhone 5 and update our games to fit it ASAP so that we can get in the 'iPhone 5 screen supported games' lists on the forums and stuff before everybody else does!

This is great news except one thing...

Am I the only one who has issues with landscape mode in testing on iOS 6 devices? Or is this being addressed and I just missed it in a new beta?

We DID get a new resolution, I really hope they do not introduce ANOTHER one with the iPad mini.

If I had to harbor a guess, I would think the ipad mini will use the new aspect ratio but be a completely different resolution. Oh Apple, why must you revert to bad practices like when Steve Jobs left the company the first time?

I am pretty sure iPad Mini (if it's real) will use 1024x768, pretty much an iPad 2 in a smaller body. Downside is that apps either need to be made with 'iPad Mini support' or some things will be smaller and thus harder to use, Android style.

But yeah, this whole new aspect ratio thing brings extra fragmentation to iOS (as would an iPad Mini), and it was completely unnecessary, it's all just pandering to the tech geeks who want to keep up with Android phones.

iPad mini is rumored to have the same form factor as the Kindle Fire, more narrow then the iPad.

Ahh so that of the Nexus 7. That'd make sense, but again it'd mean more fragmentation and redesigning apps, really not like Apple at all.
