Question How to decrease the volume of the samples?

    Hi,

Is there a way to decrease or turn off the volume of the samples?
On the Galaxy tab I can adjust it with the volume control but not on my phones.
    (galaxy s1 and s3)

    Thank you,
    Ineke

In my experience, you can only change the volume of your app using your phone's buttons while samples are actively playing. Otherwise it just controls your ringtone's volume. A way around this is to constantly loop a silent sample (lame). Hopefully they fix this later... I've posted about it multiple times.

    Hi,
When I turn off or lower the volume of my phones, the samples stay playing the highest volume.
Pit73 the nexus 7 is a tablet and on my Galaxy tablet the original controls work fine and what is clickcode.

    Thank you,
    Ineke

    Hi Ineke,

are you using the following permision

-android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS, Used to modify Audio setting as defined by user in app.
-android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE, used to listen for phone calls to change volume levels when phone is unlinked from notification.

    there is also

-android.permission.MODIFY_PHONE_STATE but i think is a system-only permission, so apps are not allowed to get it.
    Regards,

If we use Modify Audio Settings, and the user presses their volume up/down buttons, will it change Media volume automatically?

    Hi Fernando,

I tried Android permission MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS and READ_PHONE_STATE but that doesn't work.
In the settings of the phone you can lower or higher the volume of the apps.
I thought maybe there is an option you can put into the app to do that.

    Thank you,
    Ineke

    Hi Ineke,

This is done through the audiomanager in android but i donīt know how it is implemented inside the exporter, maybe an answer from James could clarify this point.

    sorry, it did not work
