    Xbox controller conditions

Hey guys, i'm currently working on an xbox game using MMF2 and XNA exporter. I'm almost done with the base game, but the controller is becoming a problem. So i have no idea what to do. Pressing start works fine. But when it comes to the object movement. It doesn't work for me, I've tried everything. P1 press right shoulder, Character moves left. That doesn't work. Pressing left or right on the dpad doesn't work either. Can someone please walk me through what it is I'm doing wrong? Thank you

Are you use the XBOX Game pad object? Or the built-in movements of MMF?
If gamepad object, what controller are you trying to test, and what parameter do you transmit to the object condition?

Yes I put a xbox game pad object in the game, and pressing start works fine. But the movement does not work. I go to the xbox game pad object in event editor, right click under it, then i create a condition, when right shoulder is press, object moves right. Then the condition is when right shoulder is clicked on player 1, object moves right. And I have done tons of combinations of buttons, but none of them work. Not sure if i missed a step or no. This is my first game ever, so i am very new to game development.

There must be a mistake somewheree as the object does work.
If you want you can send me your application, so that I have a look at it.

Ok here's is the game, again this is not completed yet. And i had to delete all of the music, in order to send this to you, due to the 1 mb attachment limit. Thank you for taking the time to look at it.

The bat of your game uses the 8 direction movement. This movement works with the keyboard (arrow keys).
Just setting the direction of the movement when the gamepad is pressed will not make the object move : the speed of the object is 0, as you have not accelerated with the arrows.
So your method does not work.
If you want, on your PC to control the bat, you have to do
    Left shoulder is pressed
Set X Coordinate(bat) to X(bat)-5 (or different values)
    Right shoulder is pressed
    Set X coordinate(bat) to X(bat)+5

The default movements, on PC, always respond to the default controls (keyboard).
I just had an idea, I will make so that when a XBOX gamepad is plugged in the machine, it uses it automatically.

Thank you very much Francois I really appreciate your help. And thank you for walking me through it. And cool, thank you for making the xbox gamepad automatically read it. It'll help un-experienced people like myself in the future. Again thank you.
