File Object Assistance

Hi all,

Been a good while since I posted here! I've recently jumped back into MMF2 for a small project, and I'm hoping for some assistance with the File Object.

Embarrassingly enough, I've always had problems with getting this (apparently straight-forward action) to work properly.

I want the user to click, for example, a "Load File" button which opens the File Object's "Load File selector".

From there, of course the user browses to, and selects a file.

User hits 'Ok'.

Selected file gets deleted.

The above should be repeated every time the "Load File" button is clicked, however, the action is only performed once. Subsequent files selected by the user are not 'processed' (deleted). I've tried a lot of methods, from getting returned string lengths to repeating actions once when events loop & conditions are met etc. But surely I'm missing something blatantly obvious.

This is one of the 'workarounds' I have, which seems to work & demonstrates what I'm trying to do. But it seems like a clumsy way of performing a simple action:

Could anyone quickly explain how to effectively run "loops" when dealing with the File Object? If it's not asking too much, an example would be brilliant!

You don't even need any kind of loops for this. This works for me:

Amazing, thanks - Works beautifully! That'd be the "non-clumsy" solution I needed... And now that I see it laid out in 2 events, I'm left face palming and wondering what the heck I was trying to do originally, haha!
