Question [ASK] How to make animation and random objects

Hi, I want to make a whack a mole game.
There will be 6 moles and they appeared from 6 different holes.
I want to make them animate like popped out from the holes smoothly and randomly. Is there a way I can make it?

And also, I want to make the mouse pointer become a hammer. There is a hammer that functioned like mouse pointer.
    Can anybody help me?

    Thank you
    L13n

I like using an extension called Easing Object which will allow you to smoothly move these moles from the holes, it may be a good idea to layer your frame too, otherwise moles might peak out over the top of the game.

That's pretty easy! The Cursor object is what you need. Assuming your hammer is an active object called "ActiveCursor", create a condition like this:

    Start of Frame
Cursor --> Set Cursor Shape --> Set shape from Active Object --> Type in "ActiveCursor" (or the name of the active that'll be the cursor)

If you've animated the hammer: During the game, you can set an animation action as usual for the active object, whatever plays on the active object will be seen on the cursor too!

I'm afraid someone else will have to help you with randomizing, I don't really know myself. Sorry!

I would actually make a simple animation for the moles coming up. Moving them up and down like this will lead to layering problems (the bottom half has to be below the game board and the top half has to be above). Also, when I first read this I thought you meant you used easing object for moving the moles from one hole to another, which didn't make sense to me at all until I reread it.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3

Whoops, I overcomplicated things there. I agree, an "appearing" animation would be a better idea. L13n would like a smooth animation though, but it's achievable.

    Hi, thank you for answering

I'm sorry, I know this is a stupid question...Where is the cursor?
I am a designer, so programming language is very confusing for me T.T

Are you looking for adding the Cursor Object? Double click on any blank area on the frame, the "Add New Object" dialog appears. You can scroll through the list or click "Interface", the cursor object is in there. It's an invisible object, so you can place it anywhere, but I tend to place it outside the frame.

Then when it comes to creating a condition, go to the Event Editor, create the new condition "Start of Frame", and then use the boxes to program the Cursor object like I explained above.

    Hope that answers your question.
