    Double JUST the running animation

    Hi there. I'll start out by saying i'm using someone else's engine. I am currently replacing some of the animations. The current walking animation has 8 frames and that's fine i'm OK with the way that animates. however the run animation used to have 4 frames and I am doubling it. I was able to do that no problem by adding the 4 additional frames. The down side is now the animation runs at 50% of the speed its supposed to. I just need the visible frames to double in speed without affecting any of the way that the other animations work. I don't want the character to go twice as fast. I want JUST the animation to run twice as fast.

    What I've tried so far is to open up the animation editor and fooled around with the "Direction Options" the default of the engine was a "Lower Speed" value of 10 and a "Higher speed" value of 10... So I feebly tried to change it to 20 and 20 with no effect whatsoever. I'm assuming that must be just based on the ratio between the two numbers?

    I'm desperate to make this work. Thanks to anyone who can assist me!

    The animation displayed when you preview the animation from the animation editor is not the correct speed - try actually running the game to see how it looks

    Thanks for your reply LB! As it turns out though I was in game and the animation still seems to be capped at the same speed it was running before. If the replacement animation was the same 4 frames as the old one it would be just fine but since I increased it to 8 I'm not quite sure how to double the speed. Thanks again for your reply!
