    Small bit of advice please

I'm having trouble with multiple touches.
The way I test for an object touch is if mouse is over an object and left mouse key is pressed then blah blah blah........

That works for one object but obviously the mouse can't be in 2 places at once and if I do another touch on the screen it cancels out what I'm doing.

For example, I have 2 sprites for left and right.
I press on one to move.
However when I press my jump button sprite, my character stops moving as the jump touch supersedes the direction touch.

I know there's the multitouch object but I'm not sure how how to click on more than one object at a time.

    I guess I'm asking this.

I have 3 sprites in 3 different places on the screen.
    Sprite a, sprite b and sprite c.

How would I check that sprite a, sprite b and sprite c are all touched?

Sorry if this sounds daft but I think I'm doing it wrong.
It's not a bug, it's just my understanding.

I made a very simple multitouch example MFA to help out anyone who doesn't quite understand how to use it.

    You can get it here.

This was written a while back so it's a bit outdated but the actual basis for multitouch is the same. It essentially assigns two objects, one for each touch, and then you test for the touches.

You can't use mouse detection reliably with multitouch.

Things like the "Repeat while mouse..." should still work correctly with multi-touch, though (if those conditions don't work, it's a bug).

    Smile

Here's what I use, tried different approaches and this is my favourite. It supports unlimted touches, but tracks up to 5 constant presses using a single object. You can check which touch is which by checking the id value of the active object.

    android_multitouch.mfa

    Works well for me!

I'm trying to re-create a movement so I can pan around an image with touch but the image keeps reverting to its original location on when I drag for a second time. Has anyone managed to implement a working example?

DJFeugo - I created a pan code somewhere I'll have to dig it out if I can. Basically use either the last touch co-ordinate to center the screen and then force the new touch from there, or use a hidden active's x/y pos to achieve this pan effect. As soon as I can find the MFA I'll upload it for you.
