Hey does anybody know if you can do this with mmf2? I want to unpack a protective rar (or compressed file) in my application?

There is a ZIP object and I believe some one made a extension that unpacks rar's also. Some other extensions also offer decompression such as binary extensions which allow you to decompress a file without saving the file to disk.

Is the file containing resouces for your game/app that you don't want users to have access to? If so I'd opt for using an extension that supports compression/encryption when loading the file so that its decompressed/decrypted in memory.
