    Event Editor and Sub-Application

    Hi!
You can edit the event editor of a Sub-Application in the application that loads the Sub-Application?
    Or in other words:
You can access the event editor of a Sub-Application in the application that loads the Sub-Application?

That would make it much easier for my experimental project.
Whenever I need to change something in Event Editor of Sub-Application, I have to open the Sub-Application and go to the Event Editor.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello, Welcome to the forums!

I'm afraid it's not possible to access the Event Editor of a sub-application any other way without opening the sub-application's MFA or frame. MMF2 treats a sub-application as a link to other frame.

It might not be the best way to navigate... maybe a shortcut could be implemented if Clickteam hears you out!

Sounds like you are loading an external file for your subapp. If you use a frame in your program as the subapp, you can edit the events in that frame without having to load another mfa file. The event editors will still be in separate frames though, so no way to combine them into one list view.

    Thanks for the quick response!
I figured if I could just be a link to another application ...
It would be much more convenient if I could access the event editor of Sub-Application without having to load this Sub-Application in another MMF2 window =/

What's the purpose of you wanting to see/view/edit the event editor of the app loaded in the sub-app window?

If it's for testing (I assume through you stating 'experimental') then you can setup debug strings/values and share Global Values/Strings with the sub-app so you can report and see particular strings/values from the sub-app...

    Hi Danny!
The purpose is to work more practically, so that the work is more fluent.

If I could access the event editor of a Sub-Application within the application that loads a Sub-Application, no need to be opened in the sub-application in another MMF2 process every time I want make a change in event editor of sub-application.
(I do not know if I'm able to explain it clearly, sorry)
    Thank you!

You can, of course, make use of the workspaces. Drag and drop the MFA of the sub-application onto the Workspace Toolbar to open it within the same MMF2 instance, rather then having another MMF2 window open.

When you want to open the sub-application's event editor, expand the tree and right click on the sub-application's frame and select "Event Editor".

Additionally, you could open both of them at the same time since they're 'child' windows. "Un-maximize" from the menu bar (the X, maximize and minimize buttons below the actual windows' one) and open the sub-application's event editor to have two open concurrently.
