list object's "find string exact" help

I understand that using the "find string exact" function allows me to find a string in a list object according to whatever text I enter (and it returns the line's index number). However I want to be able to find a line in the list that meets two "find string exact" requirements. I'm testing a partial string at the beginning of a line as well as another different partial string at the end of that same line. Anybody have any ideas?

    Hey Sumo,
Try using the Left$ and Right$ functions to determine the partial characters, then use maybe a flag or a global value. So something like this (in an obscure way):

Find Exact String(Left$(Line Number 'line containing string)) = "Word": Set Flag(0) On
Find Exact String(Right$(Line Number 'line containing string)) = "Word": Set Flag(1) On

    If Flag(0) = on
    + Flag(1) = on: Do Stuff

Sometimes I write in riddles I know, hope it makes sense to what you're trying to achieve.

the thing is, multiple lines in the list could have either partial string in the beginning or end, so i need to find the one that satisfies both. I guess i could rearrange the strings, although that would take a lot of time, but in the end i can just use one find string exact action to find the correct line in the list object.

Sumo - you might be able to use "Find string exact" for the first part in your list, then use the String Parser object set to the found line of your list and do another search for the second part using the string parser object.
