Object properties need it layer number

i noticed that the objects dont have their layer ID listed in the properties.
Be nice to have that listed in the size/position tab, and be able to set it to what layer you want there too.

To move an object to another layer, do you know that you can drag it and drop it to the layer thumbnail in the Layer bar?

yeah i knew that, i still think danjo's suggestion is a good one.

yes i know that yves- but - heres why i thought it would be useful.

i was adding a layer, and then moved an element to a higher layer. it then covered some other elements i also wanted to move up. i couldnt select them to drag them up because the topmost one was covering them.
i had to drag back the topmost, then drag up all the other ones first then drag back the original.
i thought it would be a good idea if the elements i was trying to get up the layer (that were covered), i could simply just alter their properties and they could jump up themselves.

Additionally what would be a cool fix is as follows in this example:

There are three layers: 1,2 and 3. When the mouse is clicked then an object is created on Layer1.

Then I decide I want to change the order of the Layers, switching Layers 1 and 3 around.

However I now have to go back into the event editor and manually edit the objects layer positioning to Layer 3...

an automatic layer update fix would be cool <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
