Do you have the correct drivers for your screen (your exact screen) installed?
I usually have some cropping like that before the drivers have been installed and the screen configured, but that's overall and not in one particular game/app I think.

Do you have your MMF2 cd in the drive when you run the patch? (I don't know if it's possible to run it without it.)

Check VRAM and DirectX on and off a bit and see if that's the problem.

Re: Problem with resolution change, and patch

its abrand new pc, just got it about a month ago, i have all necissary drivers and the latest directX (whatever number its on now)

@konjak, Thx but i shouldn't have to turn of DirectX, i have just forked out like £100 for mmf2 and it runs my applications worse than mmf1.5 did.

@isbeorn, I have the cd in whilst trying to load the patch and i still get the msg.

Thx for the help and any additional advice would be really appreciated.

"i shouldn't have to turn of DirectX"

He doesn't mean you should do this as a solution. It just helps the programmers to isolate where the bug is. If the problem goes away with V-Ram or DX unchecked, it means there's a problem in that specific area of the program. It can be like looking for a needle in a haystack otherwise

If the patch prompts you for the CD-ROM path, just enter the CD root directory: D:\ or E:\ etc, that should work.
