executing exe within mmf app?

How can I execute an exe app within mmf2 and have mmf2 wait for the exe that it executed to close then continue to do whatever or close? I am trying to create a sortof frontend for my Steam games.

Under the special object (monitor) there is a "Run external application" action.


EDIT: it has options such as "Wait for end", "Pause while app is running" etc I think.
