Object Position Problem - Need Help

Hey there - I'm pretty new and for a few day now I'm gettin' mad about one problem I have to deal with:

My frame size is 1280x960 and the window size 640x480. The main-active moves in Eight Directions on a top-down-setting.
Now the problem is that I want a picture to appear when the character collides with NPCs and I want it to appear on the same place no matter from which angle it collides this NPC..

I'm not sure if that's clearly so I hope this pic will help to understand..

The normal solution is to use layers. You'd have a non-scrolling top layer containing the score/time/health/etc, and you'd just include your picture in that layer. The key to stopping it scroll, is to set the layer's scrolling coefficients to 0.

Alternatively, you can just untick the "follow the frame" box in the object's properties.
There are also expressions in the "storyboard controls" object to get the edges of the visible screen area, which can be useful occasionally.
