I didn't know whether to post this here or the SWF forum but either way the CharImage extension doesn't work now when exporting to SWF.
It did before the update.![]()

Does this object require a specific version of Flash Player? The new version of the exporter will ignore the version number defined in flex-config.xml, you have to manually define it in the properties of the application (new Flash Player Version property).

aha, let me go and check Yves. I'll repost back with the result...
Edit: Doesn't work. Tried 9.0.0 also tried 10.0.0 - Nothing. I then tried defining my current version of 11.1.102.55 to get this error:
Loading configuration file C:\Program Files\Multimedia Fusion Developer 2\Data\Runtime\Flash\Flex\frameworks\flex-config.xml
C:\Program Files\Multimedia Fusion Developer 2\Data\Runtime\Flash\Flex\frameworks\flex-config.xml(55): Error: unable to open 'libs/player/11/playerglobal.swc'
</external-library-path>

Weird, I've just built a simple SWF application with a "Hello world" CharImage object and it works fine with both the old and new versions (default flash version, 9.0.124).
What version of the CharImage object do you use? (I've tried with version 1.001 posted in July 2010)
Can you reproduce it in a fresh application?

ah, maybe I have an outdated version, I'll grab the latest one and repost. Either way I'll test it in a fresh application also.

Update:
I have just tested again to no avail. So I tested a fresh app with SWF and it worked.
Then what I did was; open up a fresh app and transfer the frames from the old apps storyboard to the new storyboard and it worked.
One can only assume it is something to do with MFA formatting? If it is, would it be possible to update this in Beta 2?
So I can confirm it DOES work, however, I would strongly recommend posting in the Beta thread that old applications will have to be dragged into new applications in order for the effects to change place?
Also, Good Job on the way you've done this. It opens up a few gateways for our game developments, past & present!![]()

Could you send me your old application?
EDIT: I need it to see what properties are different in the old app and in the new one, to see which one is causing a problem.

OK, thank you for sending me your application, it seems MMF2 removes the actions of the CharImage object instead of removing the actions of the INI++ object... Oops... I'll forward the application to Francois.
I am also getting very strange things happening to my Char Image objects after the update. But I don't think I have an Ini++ object in my game.
Character Image is heavy in HWA application.
That's simply it not optimized to HWA?
