    Set Speed in Pinball Movement

I'm having a bit of trouble with the Pinball Movement, as the "Set Speed" command doesn't seen to be working. Is this a known issue?

Also, here's what I'm trying to do. I'm using Pinball Movement in an action game, so that when you hit an enemy, it get's knocked away and then bounces on the floor

The point is, think of it as a game of baseball. When the Bat swings, *Collision between "Bat" and "Ball"*, the ball should be knocked away, in the opposite direction. However, sometimes it's knocked towards the player, if the hit point was closer to the inside of the "Bat" than the outside

So, I tried to fix that by doing the following. Put it Movement #1 as static and Movement #2 as Pinball. In Pinball, Speed of Ball is by default 0, when the collision happens, I set the movement to #2, the direction I want the ball to go, set speed to 50 and "Start" movement.

But it just stands there with 0 speed, as shown by a debug counter. I tried messing with the order of events, making the movement start before, after, setting speed before direction, etc, but I had no luck. Although I send it upwards, the second the movement starts, it falls down

I know this fixing wouldn't make for a good baseball game, but would be good enough for my enemy.

You guys have any idea how I can fix this, the Set Speed or some other way of doing it?

It's not a bug. I just tried your movement that you did and it worked on my end. To make it easier on you, don't use 2 movements. In the pinball properties window just uncheck moving at start. When the collision happens, just start movement, set your speed and direction.

if I use Set Direction to tell the movement to go up and right when the collision happens, instead of doing an arc upward, it goes straigth down, right and down

As a swing, the "bat" has animation. If the collision happens on the "inside" of the object, instead of being bounced away, it bounces towards it
