    [CRASH] Back button pressed --> Jump to frame

    Tried to implement basic back button functionality, but it crashes every time.

    Device: Huawei Ideos X5
    Android version: 2.3.5
    MMF build: Android exporter RC3

    I tried with events such as:

    On back button pressed
    --> Jump to frame

    Is back button down
    --> Jump to frame

    Is back button down
    + Run this event only once
    --> Jump to frame

    The app changes the frame but then after like 0.5 seconds the app closes.

    I think I had the online crash reporting enabled, so CT should have the crash logs.

    Does the back button in this case take you to the first frame of the application?
    I had the same issue, I had to add a "If timer > 0.5 seconds" to my "On back button pressed" event to stop this. Apparently, the Back Button input carries over frames (so after the user hits Back, the frame you point your app to still thinks the user is pressing Back for about half a second)

    Yes, when I press the back button on frame 2, it takes me to frame 1 but then right after that the app closes itself. I have the "on back button pressed" event only in frame 2, so I guess in this case it shouldn't matter if the back button press carries over frames as there isn't anything in frame 1 events that would read this input?

    Yes indeed, quite a mystery...

    I'm wondering if Clickteam has any ideas on this?

    Bump!

    Just wondering if CT had a chance to investigate this yet? Is there anything I can do to help to resolve this crash? Could this be somehow Android 2.3 specific? Response would be much appreciated

    HI MJK,

    Did you try with OpenGl 2.0?

    Thanks for the suggestion Fernando, just tried it but didn't help. The app crashed like previously.

    BUT guess what - I tried with various other combinations of Android Options, and it seems that ticking the box "disable default back button behavior" magically removed the crash! Wooohoo!
    Is this something I should've known, to disable this feature to make this work, or is there a bug somewhere (for older Android versions)?
