Rotation issue: Click button, rotate object X degrees, stop (without holding key)

I apologize if this is a simple issue. I've only been using the program for a few days now and searched all over the forums and examples but can't quite figure this out:

I'd like to press a button once (no problem) so that an object rotates around the hotspot or action spot (no problem) a predetermined number of degrees (PROBLEM) then stops. (ex. rotate 70 degrees then stop rotating without have to hold down a command)
-the catch: I'd like to be able to see the object rotate in a manner similar to the "while x is pressed" command. In other words, I don't want the
object to be in one position and then flash to another rotated position when the button is pressed. I need to see it move through all those
    degrees.

I've tried using alterable values and timers. And when I try to do a fastloop it does the flashing from one position to another thing. I have no idea how to use the sin, cos, tan functions. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Button clicked set Object Alt Val A to 70

Alt Val A Greater than 0 rotate Object 1 degree, subtract 1 from Alt Val A.

    Does that make sense?

Ahhh lembi2001, I'm terribly sorry. I went to bed in frustration right after posting this, woke up the next morning, solved the problem and forgot that I had posted. Just now came back on the forums and remembered that I had posted this. I didn't mean to ignore you. Thank you for your advice!

The way I solved it is I created a counter, set the object's angle to the value of that counter and just had the timer add an amount to the counter every time increment until it reached a certain value.

I didn't see a rotation event for active objects. Is there one or did you use an extension?

Hi lembi, where did you go to put in Alt Val A Greater than 0 rotate Object 1 degree
