    MegaCity on Windows Phone too!

Just a quick XNA based update from me-- my game MegaCity is now available on Windows Phone:
    http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=...3-b6671d117d80

    Description below:
"going to make the hours melt away." 9/10 - 148Apps

MegaCity is a highly original, easy-to-learn but hard-to-master 'one-more-go' style puzzle game!

Place requested buildings in the queue to earn points, but watch out: Nobody wants to live next to a landfill site or industrial estate! Everybody wants a nice park or shcool nearby, but the city's budget is limited.

This is where you come in. Megacity is a game of planning and thinking ahead to squeeze the most points of out your citizens by clever town planning. And if it all goes wrong, it's their fault for electing you mayor, right?

Place building tiles on the grid to play the game; but each tile has a different positive or negative effect on it's surroundings. Once a column has the required number of points, the game advances, giving you more room to build.

It's Tetris meets Sim City! Critically well reviewed on every platform, if you haven't played it yet- what are you waiting for?!

    Features:

    -Dozens of different buildings

    -10 unlockable buildings

    -Local & online high scores

    -Achievements

    -George Gershwin Soundtrack

Game looks great however, crashes when I leave the app then go back in, same as my own games. does this happen to you Colej_uk? testing on arguable the current windows phone (8) flagship a Lumia 920. Will test on a Windows Phone (7.5) Lumia 810 when home.

Please can we have a fix ClickTeam!, this should be priority over making new extensions, we have already paid for this, if I wasn't part of this community I would of 1 stared this awesome game, (have actually left a 5 start review)

It does exit the game when you press the home button. I wasn't sure whether this was a 'crash' or if it was just that the runtime didn't support the game running in the background.

To avoid problems with this, I built the game so it saves as you play, meaning when it quits the app you can resume your game if you go back to it So it actually shouldn't be a problem with this game. However, yes I agree if it's possible to have it stay open in the background that would be useful.

    And thanks btw!

heya colej_uk, cheers for the reply, and cheers for the great game, if there's any frustration following its not aimed at you but at ClickTeam.

I have tested it also on a Windows Phone 7.5 phone and the issue is consistent.

Please note this atleast affects the flagship Nokia Lumia 920 (Windows Phone 8) and the Nokia Lumia 710: (will test on some HTCs tomorrow)

1)the game runs fine on first launch
2)exit the game either via the back, start or search
3)now use the back button to go back to your game, or if you have used a few apps since, hold back to get to the multitask screen and select the game again
    4) the game is frozen. pressing start and going back will not unfreeze or reset the app! the only way is going back into 'games' and selecting it from the list this will reset the game. (the reset itself I don't mind so much , although it would be nice to take advantage of the going to sleep/wake up mode, having a paying customer coming back to a frozen game every time is so unprofessional.)

colej_uk can you confirm if this happens on your phone(s)?

Many thanks, i'm not happy releasing any more apps like this and seeing as this is a paid extension makes me annoyed (feeling like a beta tester) we keep hearing they are too busy working on newer products too fix this.

Edit: Just tested again, and it is indeed freezing I thought running it from the menu would resume the app like in iOS which is why I thought it was restarting. Is there any known way to fix this?

I've posted a thread in the owner's lounge to see if we can get a fix for this.

There's no demo version. I readed somewhere that's because there is a bug with MMF2 that let people download the full game for free when they download the demo?
Well, without demo i can't try and rate it. Sorry.

I'm holding back on any promotion/updating/making a demo version until I can fix the freezing bug. I don't want to be advertising a game which freezes when in the background, so I'll wait for the fix first.

I had this issue with my game (except I only offered the full version, not demo at all, but people could still download the whole game for free), but at least in my case the bug was on Microsoft's end - not related to MMF2. Microsoft fixed it and compensated the lost sales.
