    Exponential in expression calculator

I'm trying to figure out how to use a function like y=10^(-x) in the expression calculator.. I know there's a Exp() tag but how can I negative it?
Every input I make shows me Syntax Error...

    (number) pow (exponent)

    ex.

    5 pow 2
    3 pow 2
    2 pow -2

    Exp(number) does e^(number)

that only worked for integers... it's not working with variables/counters... it gives me a syntax error...

EDIT: so I inverted ( "1/2 pow 2" ) and it seems fine. thanks!!
