Question [Request] keyboard shutcut for setting an objects layer

When working with layers I occasionally wish I could hit a key combination to swiftly move an object up or down a layer.
Could the commands "move selected object up one layer" and "move selected object down one layer" be added?

Or maybe you could set it in the objects "size/position" properties window?

In an abrupt epiphany I realized you could probably click and drag an object to the layer you want it on. my mistake

Thanks, I never knew you could do that!
I usually drag a new copy onto the correct layer and delete the old one, but dragging the existing one to the Layer on the Layer Toolbar works a treat!
